Care Guide

How to care for your candle.

A few small rituals make a beautifully made candle last longer, burn more evenly and throw fragrance further. Here is everything we ask of you.

The First Burn

Allow your candle to burn for at least 2–3 hours the first time, or until the entire surface has melted evenly to the edges. Soy wax has a natural memory, and a full melt pool helps prevent tunnelling, ensuring an even burn throughout the life of your candle.

Wick Care

Before each burn, trim the wick to around 5mm. A well-trimmed wick creates a cleaner, steadier flame, reduces soot, and helps your candle burn more evenly and last longer.

Burning Safely

Burn your candle for no more than four hours at a time, allowing the wax to cool completely before relighting. Always place on a heat-resistant surface and keep away from draughts, direct sunlight, children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Reed Diffusers

For a consistent fragrance, gently turn the reeds once a week. Wash your hands after handling the reeds and avoid placing the diffuser on painted, polished or untreated surfaces, as fragrance oils may cause damage. Once empty, the vessel can be washed and reused.

Wax Melts

One wax melt is enough to fragrance a medium-sized room for up to eight hours. Use with a tealight or electric wax burner, and never heat the wax directly. Replace the melt once the fragrance has faded.

When Your Candle Is Finished

When approximately 5mm of wax remains, it’s time to retire your candle. Allow the vessel to cool, then wash with warm, soapy water to remove any remaining wax. Designed to be reused, it makes a beautiful home for pens, makeup brushes, small plants or everyday essentials.
